Learning Resource

The Bodies of Water Learning Resource is an educational tool for children aged 7–11 (Key Stage 2), inspired by the themes of Anne Duk Hee Jordan's artworks and characters. With content devised by multimedia artist and arts educator, Anna FC Smith, it includes creative activities to explore water collection, preservation, and distribution. Aimed at building awareness of water's environmental importance, the resource promotes sustainable water management through engaging, hands-on learning. Ideal for Key Stage 2, it also supports educators with informative content and encourages artistic exploration, helping children understand the vital role of water in our daily lives.

The resources below offer practical advice and alternate perspectives on addressing the climate emergency and protecting our natural environments. Theys also explore critical issues specific to Exmouth and Wigan, such as reducing pollution in our rivers and seas and forging creative solutions for water filtration. Reflecting on climate anxiety, the resources also challenge us to think about how we can collectively realise a more sustainable and equitable approach as well as take care of our own mental health in the process.
